Position Details: Senior Accountant

Description:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: On-site - Beirut, Corniche Al Mazraa

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

1. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Manage revenue recognition processes related to long-term software implementation contracts (e.g., subscription, service milestones, licensing).
3. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
4. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and resolution of findings.

Performance & Quality Improvement

1. Define and monitor accounting & finance-related KPIs such as profitability and reporting accuracy.
2. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes.
3. Implement quality control checks for transactional accuracy (invoicing, accruals, expense classification).
4. Identify and execute improvements in reporting workflows.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
2. 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a senior role, ideally in a software or technology services company.
3. Strong understanding of software revenue models (subscription, perpetual license, implementation services).
4. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems
5. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
6. Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvements and optimize finance processes.
